About Us

The Africa Centre for International Trade and Development (ACINTaD) is an independent non-profit organisation registered as a company limited by guarantee in Ghana. The Centre is established to promote and influence trade-related policymaking that informs and inspires African nations to achieve prosperity in a way that is equitable and sustainable in an open economy. We do this through high-quality research & analysis, advocacy, capacity building, and advisory services.

The Centre aims to strengthen Africa’s position within the multilateral trading system by encouraging active participation of African countries, promoting trade and investment opportunities, and advancing the goal of sustainable development in Africa.

By advocating on behalf of businesses, governments and civil society, and representing their interests in international trade and development forums, ACINTaD supports African countries to better position themselves to benefit fully from the global governance system.

The research we do are empirical and policy oriented which is designed to inform policymaking and trade policy analysis in Africa.

Our technical assistance and advisory services are designed to create business linkage opportunities for both foreign and local businesses as well as supporting them with market intelligence, representation, business registration and set up services.

Capacity building is an integral part of our work and we design relevant and unparalleled training courses for the benefit of public agencies, businesses and civil society organisations that work around trade policy and sustainable development.

Mantra - Promoting Trade for Africa’s Development.
